Our Regional Parish School of Religion (PSR) prepares our youth who attend public school to receive their sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist. PSR meets Sunday mornings starting in the Fall through Spring. Children attending St. William School are prepared through their daily religion class curriculum. Reconciliation typically takes place in February and First Communion follows the Saturday after Easter. Please contact Grace Yuellig for more information regarding the PSR program.
The Sacrament of Confirmation takes place every other year. St. William School will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation during the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. If your child is enrolled in the Regional PSR program preparation for Confirmation is a two-year process with alternating Confirmation preparation and 7th/8th-grade curriculum and the sacrament received in odd number years (ie: 2025, 2027 at St. Teresa) Please contact Grace Yuellig for more information regarding Confirmation preparation.
Marriage preparation workshops are held once or twice per year for couples preparing for marriage. Couples are needed to help organize days and lead workshop sessions. Please contact Deacon George Bruce to enroll in Pre Cana or to assist with the program.
What is the FOCCUS© Pre-Marriage Inventory? As a key step in their marriage preparation, The FOCCUS© Pre-Marriage Inventory is a 151-item questionnaire used by engaged couples with a trained FOCCUS Facilitator. Taking the inventory results in a personalized FOCCUS© Couple Report that helps target discussion on topics important to marital success. While FOCCUS is not a test and is not used to label couples or predict the marital outcome, the report is used by the Facilitator to help couples celebrate their relationship strengths and talk to each other about topics warranting further attention. FOCCUS assesses nineteen categories to help couples sort the challenges and strengths they are bringing into the marriage. Please contact Deacon George Bruce for more information.
