Father Andrew J. Umberg is the pastor of St. William. He sets the vision for the parish. As leader of the pastoral team, he works to achieve a consensus with staff and commission members in strategies to enable the parish to be effective disciples of the Lord in this time and place

Father Umberg grew up in Cincinnati and attended LaSalle High School. He Attended the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus and Mt. St. Mary's Seminary in Cincinnati for his priestly studies. He was ordained in 1991. Fr. Umberg received a license in Sacred Theology at the Gregorian University in Rome. Before coming to St. William, he was a member of the faculty of St. Mary's Seminary.

Father Paul Rehling is In Residence at St. William since his retirement from the active priesthood in 2001, after serving as pastor at St. Aloysius Gonzaga for ten years. Father Rehling grew up in Mt. Auburn and attended St. Paul Elementary and Purcell High School. He continued his education at St. Gregory Preparatory Seminary, Mt. St. Mary Seminary, and Xavier University. Father Rehling was ordained in 1956. He served in a number of parishes and held other positions in the Archdiocese. From 1988 until 1991, he was Spiritual Director and teacher at St. Peter Seminary in Cape Coast, Ghana. In his free time, Father Rehling enjoys reading, golf, sailing, and classical music.

Deacon comes from the Greek word, diakonos, which means servant or helper. A deacon is an ordained minister in the Church, called by the Church to serve God and all God's people through the conferring of the sacrament of Holy Orders by the bishop.

Deacon Tom Faeth was born in the West End of Cincinnati and grew up in Corryville near the University of Cincinnati. He attended St. George Elementary, Roger Bacon High School, and Elder High School. He studied at the Athenaeum for five years and was ordained a deacon on September 26, 1998. Mr. Faeth worked for Heekin Can Company for 33 years. He then worked for Catholic Social Services before coming to work at our parish. He is married to Judy and has four children, all of whom attended St. William School. Mr. Faeth enjoys crafting, ceramics, and bus trips with the Price Hill Historical Society.

Deacon George Bruce was born and raised in Cincinnati. His family became members of St. William Parish when he was five years old. He attended St.William Elementary, Elder High School, and the Athenaeum of Ohio. He was also ordained on September 26, 1998 with Deacon Faeth. Mr. Bruce is a licensed optician and worked for Thoma and Sutton Eyecare before coming to work at our parish in 2002. He is married to Donna and has two daughters. Mr. Bruce enjoys reading, traveling with his family, and golf.

David F. Allen is the music director and liturgist at St. William. He oversees the planning and coordination of parish liturgies. As director of music, he is the principal parish musician and oversees the direction of the choirs, cantor program, and other musicians. Mr. Allen received his undergraduate degree at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Mr. Allen has been at St. William for over 40 years. He is married to Carol, and they have three daughters. He does not have any spare time.

Mrs. Catie Blum is principal of the parish school. She is the spiritual, instructional, and administrative leader of the school. She develops educational and instructional programs with the teaching staff. Along with the school staff, she implements the policies established by the Education Commission.

While St. William has long been recognized throughout the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for both its spiritual and academic excellence, one of our greatest sources of renown and pride is our music ministry.
