At St. William we provide a complete Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults process (RCIA) to explore becoming Catholic. We have in place staff for both for adults and children (seven and older) who would like to follow Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic Church. All of our RCIA activities take place on Sunday mornings in conjunction with our 9:00 Liturgy.; Adults and children preparing to enter the church attend 9:00 Mass with their Sponsors and are dismissed after the homily (sermon) to return to the Parish Center and "Break Open the Word of God" (which is to reflect more deeply on the scripture readings heard during Mass).
We have weekly meetings for adults and children who are inquiring (Inquirers) about the Church and the RCIA process. They meet in the Parish Center each Sunday morning at 11:00 am. For more information on the RCIA process at St. William, click the Contact button on the menu bar and someone from the program will get in touch with you. For more information on the RCIA process in general, click on Resources on our top tool bar and link to other Internet Web sites. The University of Dayton site is a particularly good one.
